Arizona Cardinals DT Nick Eason rates Miami Dolphins guard Richie Incognito amongst dirtiest players
Miami Dolphins guard Richie Incognito has been getting fair amount of criticism from his fellow professionals for playing rough game. The recent of them is from Arizona Cardinals defensive tackle Nick Eason, who has called Incognito the dirtiest player in
the game.
Eason gave those comments on Friday, September 28, 2012, just two days before facing Incognito as Dolphins play against Cardinals in Week 4 game on Sunday, September 30. Giving his perception about Incognito, Eason said:
“One of the dirtiest players in the NFL. I had a little experience with him many years ago when he spit in my face. I've never had a player or person in my life spit in my face. It took everything in my power to restrain myself because it was a really close
game.”
Eason recalled an incident that had taken place in the final week of the 2009 season in which he played for his former team Pittsburgh Steelers. Both players got into argument which ended very badly. Dolphins came out winner in that game 30-24.
This is not the first time that Incognito has involved in a controversy this season. During the Dolphins’ season opener against Houston Texans, Incognito got a kick from Texans defensive end Antonio Smith.
Smith accused Incognito of having intentions of breaking his ankle. The National Football League (NFL) charged Smith $ 21,000 for kicking Incognito. Meanwhile, Incognito was not charged with any offence.
Eason is most likely to replace defensive end Darnell Dockett. Although he will get a chance to face Incognito, he does not have any plans to take some kind of revenge. Eason said:
"I'm excited to see (him). Usually the players who do that are the non-athletic guys who can't block people, so they play dirty. Definitely no retaliation. I won't do that and bring selfish motives into the game."
Cardinals are off to fantastic start to the season. Currently 3-0, this is their best start in 38 years, mainly due to strong defence. Eason is highly regarded in the Cardinals defensive team and will play a vital role in the game come Sunday.
