Arizona Cardinals hope to end losing streak as they face Seattle Seahawks – NFL Week 14 Preview
After Seattle Seahawks’ first lost against Arizona Cardinals early in the season, they are going to face Cardinals again in Week 14 game on Sunday, December 9, 2012, at CenturyLink Field, Seattle, WA.
Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson failed to perform better in his debut game and lost by 16-20, but now Cardinals are going to face improved and experienced version of Wilson.
Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III are rated among the best rookie quarterbacks this season, but Wilson is not very far from them.
According to Seahawks’ website, cornerback Richard Sherman said of Wilson:
"I don't think Russell gets enough credit. I think he should get rookie of the year consideration even over those other guys because he is leading our team in some great games."
Wilson has performed really well in last four games and his progress on the field is visible to all. Seahawks have lost one game out of last four.
In Week 13 game against Chicago Bears, Wilson completed 23 of 37 for 293 yards and scored two touchdowns.
Wilson is ranked second in the league for scoring 13.8 points per game. Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll is happy with his quarterback’s performance.
He said of Wilson:
"He's just so beautifully poised and so confident that it gives himself a chance to play at this level. It's just surprising that anybody could be like that, not just a rookie or a young guy in his first shot playing in Chicago or whatnot. He just continues
to be impressive in all of those ways."
Meanwhile, Cardinals are currently on an eight-game losing streak after making a 4-0 start to the season.
According to Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt, losing eight games in streak is not fun for them. He does not point finger on anyone for this result because he knows he has got a group of good and young players in his team.
He said:
"You work hard as a team, you prepare. I don't see any finger-pointing or fracturing. Make no mistake: they want to win."
Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb, who got injured in Week 6 game against Buffalo Bills, has not returned yet. John Skelton replaced Kolb in five games and then rookie Ryan Lindley replaced him during Week 11 game. Skelton is expected to start against Seahawks.
