Arizona Diamondbacks acquire Josh Bell from Baltimore Orioles – MLB News
The Arizona Diamondbacks are putting everything into their roster to achieve consistent and productive results in the ongoing Major League Baseball season.
Third base Josh Bell’s inclusion in the active roster is also the same string which connects the Diamondbacks with the reason of getting into the next round.
Recently, the Diamondbacks have involved in the trade with the Baltimore Orioles which brings their third baseman Josh Bell into the franchise. Orioles, prospect and currently under training with top baseball coaches, Bell now will be an active member of
the Diamondbacks roster from next game onwards.
Bell, who went hitting at .200 in 79 games for the Baltimore Orioles in total two split seasons, is certainly a good player and in the coming days will be helping the Diamondbacks with positive results.
“We didn’t have a meeting of the minds for the player. So we are going to work on that for a short period of time,” said Orioles executive vice president Dan Duquette. “It may or may not be a player. We assigned (Bell to Arizona) and it may or may not be
a player, it may just be cash considerations.”
Duquette added, “We talked to all the teams, there were a couple teams that were interested in Josh, I think Arizona liked him the most.”
Talking about Diamondbacks’ prospective, experts are confident and stating with quite certainty that this new arrival of third-baseman from the Orioles will be playing a key role for the Diamondbacks and its future success.
The Diamondbacks are already facing little troubles with some of their players’ injuries and Josh Bell will somewhat act as kind of player who is known as role-player due to his all round game.
The Diamondbacks are not in good position at the moment. They have recently lost a series with big margin of 3-1 to the Atlanta Braves and now preparing themselves against the, Washington Nationals, Miami Marlins, New York Mets, St Louis Cardinals, Los Angeles
Dodgers, Colorado Rockies, Kansas City Royals, Milwaukee Brewers, Oakland Athletics, Texas Rangers, Los Angeles Angels, Seattle Mariners, Chicago Cubs, and Atlanta Braves.
