Arizona Diamondbacks crush Colorado Rockies 5-3 – MLB Update

Arizona Diamondbacks crushed the Colorado Rockies 5-3 in the second game of their three-match regular series encounter on Tuesday, October 2 at Chase Field in Phoenix.
"You've got your closer out there and you've worked the game to the point where you go to the eighth inning with the lead, (Rex) Brothers did a terrific job (in the eighth), and if they are going to beat us, they have to beat those people. They got our closer," Rockies' manager Jim Tracy said about the team’s performance which could not match the Diamondbacks' offence.
Shortstop John McDonald played wonderfully and rattled the Rockies’ pitchers with great force. He scored one run and smashed two hits along with two RBIs on his four at-bats. He stood tall against the entire pitching rotation and hammered them with big hits. He proved his valour and remained consistent on his persistent slugging percentage at .387.
"You give Aaron first and third, and you could see what's going to happen with how good of a hitter he is, The bullpen's been awesome all year for us so it was nice to be able to give them something back," McDonald said later in the game and explained in detail about his and the teams performance.
Second baseman Aaron Hill batted five times and scored one run and smashed three hits along with three RBIs. He also hammered the Rockies' pitchers with great force and maintained his slugging percentage at .526.
Along with batters, the Diamondbacks’ pitchers also played a key role in their team’s tremendous win. They kept the Rockies under pressure and proved their offensive dominance.
Patrick Corbin started the game for the Diamondbacks as he pitched seven innings and received one run and six hits. He struck-out six and maintained his 4.54 ERA.
David Hernandez also played well as he pitched one solid inning and received two runs and three hits. He struck-out one while he managed to remain consistent at 2.54.
On the other hand, the Rockies' entire team including their pitchers and hitters disappointed with their poor performances which proved disastrous as they lost with bitter humiliation.
