Arizona Diamondbacks lefty Wade Miley adds flavor in franchise – MLB News
The Arizona Diamondbacks’ left hander pitcher is giving his franchise somewhat great confidence to play like title contenders.
His pitching as well as his whole package of talent is quite impressive which is also inspiring many within the Diamondbacks franchise.
Recently he has been roaming around Arizona and exploring every place which he never visited before. Not only playing a key role in the Diamondbacks recent wins, but since he has been declared full time active player on 40-man roster, his involvement with
the team and its different strategic affairs have increased with quite intensity.
“That dude, he's just weird," pitcher Joe Saunders said. "He's a different breed for sure. I wouldn't say he's a flake, but he's just a fun-loving Southern country boy that always seems to have a smile on his face and brings a good attitude in here.”
The Arizona Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson is also a big fan of Wade and often stated in the media about his pitching and the talent he possesses. Lately he has said for Wade with complete support also showing full confidence on his game.
“I do know when he's on the mound he's a lot smarter than anybody might give him credit for," manager Kirk Gibson said. "He has confidence; you can tell in the way he pitches. He knows when to trust his catcher and he's not worried about letting the ball
go into play.”
Currently playing in 2012 Major League Baseball season, Wade is playing with 1.84 ERA along with 2-0 win loss record, nine strikeouts and 0.95 WHIP.
Though this is his second year of play, but this year’s opportunity is important as he was selected as full time permanent part of 2012 active roster.
Experts believe that this is a healthy sign for the Diamondbacks roster which needs support at the moment for players like Miley. Miley, a former Southern Louisiana University player and currently considered one of the key players in the Diamondbacks roster,
is certainly possesses some huge skills and talent which is equally important to his game as well as for Arizona’s baseball franchise.
