Arizona Diamondbacks’ manager Kirk Gibson stresses a steady offence – MLB News
The Arizona Diamondbacks’ manager Kirk Gibson wants some desperate measures to be taken by the team's top management in order to bring back the lost momentum of his team.
Diamondbacks are experiencing some tough times at the moment with low energy and poor winning percentage.
However, the most down part is their away-record which often gives them some trouble in the media.
Kirk Gibson however, wants something positive happening in the coming days. Not only he is considered one of the good Major League managers, but he is also among the very best tacticians in the sport. His reading ability of one’s stats is so wonderful that sometimes players think of him as an amazing manager and at the same time very helpful for his team.
Now once again looking at the dire situation of his team, Gibson is showing them a decent way forward.
“We need to get those guys going with runners in scoring position," Gibson said. "That's where they have to be better. Guys are pitching them tough, but they're the 3-4 (hitters). It's going to happen."
"No, it's just a cycle of the game," he added. "We were getting the big hit in situations early on in the road trip. At the end, we just didn't get it. You can't expect us to get a hit every time with runners in scoring position."
Many things are still to be implemented as well. Diamondbacks at the moment are at third place in their National League West with a 14-16 win-loss record.
Though they can give their offence a little bit stability whenever they will be playing from next day onwards, but without the help of much needed experience players like Jason Kubel and Justin Upon ho have yet to pick up the old pace.
Both need some more time to establish themselves in the Diamondbacks and play productive for their team.
If the team manager Kirk Gibson remains consistent with his ability to develop the team’s stronger offence, the club will be putting in some improved perrformances within a very short time.
