Arizona Diamondbacks’ pitcher Wade Miley a close 2nd in 2012 National League Rookie of Year voting

Arizona Diamondbacks’ starting pitcher Wade Miley despite falling just short to win the 2012 Major League Baseball National League Rookie of the Year Award is still very pleased over his performance.
"It would have been a great honor, but either way I'm just glad it's over with and I can go back to my normal life, I was ready to get it over with and go back to being a good ole country boy, hanging out and doing some hunting," Miley said on his success despite the fact that he could not pull off winning the Rookie of the Year Award.
Miley added with detail and explained to the media, “I’m not going to lose sleep about it, I’m thrilled to even be considered. (Harper) is deserving, so congrats to him. I sort of figured he’d win because of who he is and he’s 19 years old and what he did is pretty incredible for a 19 year old.”
He finished with 3.33 ERA along 16-11 win-loss, 144 strike-outs and 1.18 WHIP.
Miley performed consistently throughout the season and showed his true skills. He won many games for the Diamondbacks and gave them early focus in the fresh season.
He was also selected in this year’s All-Star Game and had tough competition with Washington Nationals’ Bryce Harper along with Cincinnati Reds’ Todd Frazier, Colorado Rockies’ Wilin Rosario, Milwaukee Brewers’ Norichika Aoki, San Diego Padres’ Yonder Alonso, St. Louis Cardinals' Matt Carpenter and Colorado Rockies' Jordan Pacheco.
This is a healthy sign for the Diamondbacks as their young sensation is getting a good reputation for his talents. Many say that this is also a good sign for 26-year old Miley’s game that is now considered one of the best rookies in the game.
This was Miley’s first season where he has been given a proper chance to show his hidden skills. Earlier he played in 2011 but only started eight games and could not impress the Diamondbacks’ much.
However, Miley did feature in majority of the games played in 2012 and not only did he start for the Diamondbacks but he performed with huge consistency winning many games for them as well.
