Arizona Diamondbacks’ pitching prospects keep on practicing in Spring Training – MLB News
The Arizona Diamondbacks’ top pitching prospects have been waiting for the green signal to play in the upcoming Major League season for quite some time now. These all players are practicing hard in this year’s Spring Training in Arizona and showing some
glimpses of brilliance in order to prove their game in-front of entire Diamondbacks’ management.
However, recently some reports have come out in the media suggesting many will not be featuring ahead. Starting left-hander pitcher Tyler Skaggs along with Patrick Corbin, Trevor Bauer and Charles Brewer are hopeful to get a chance on Opening Day, but still
nothing has decided yet that on what capacity these all pitchers will be making a potential start.
On the other hand, the Diamondbacks are considering Jonathan Albaladejo, Joe Martinez, Zach Kroenke, Cole Gillespie and Konrad Schmidt to send them in Triple-A Reno, a Minor League team in the Diamondbacks farm system. While Mike DeMark, Jason Lane, Ryan
Wheeler are schedule to report in to Triple-A along with Evan Marshall, Kevin Munson, Marc Krauss will be going in Double-A Mobile potentially in the coming season.
The team manager Kirk Gibson has also stated on these potential decisions and explained in the media with quite detail. He said, "We want to spend more time with them and see how they respond to certain things.”
Later he also talked especially about Mike DeMark, whose recent performances have impressed him. Gibson said, “He threw the ball great, He kept the ball down, had good location and his secondary stuff was exceptional. I asked him where he was a year ago.
He started laughing and said he really enjoyed himself and was grateful for the opportunity. He learns how to pass through that ball, he can drive the ball more. He got it up and was getting a lot more depth to his pitches. He threw in the bullpen and it was
very good.”
Though these all changes might not work well for the Diamondbacks, but experts believe that these all players will start performing whenever they get the intuition of being ready for the Majors. Playing in Minor League always helps players to get in shape
for better performance to enter in the big League.
