Arizona Diamondbacks right-hander Daniel Hudson shows progress – MLB News
The Arizona Diamondbacks right hand pitcher Daniel Hudson is showing some progress regarding his shoulder injury.
Lately, he is feeling confident when he picked the ball for the first time in his private training facility and commented in the media with optimism. This was also the first comment since he was put on to disabled list.
Hudson explained in detail and with quite optimism as well, “My arm feels really good, the ball was coming out of my hand pretty free and easy. Slight shot of pain every time I would start to bring my arm forward It's definitely a relief to get as far back
as I am, To get to where I am from where I was, it was a relief because I'm finally pushing past it, getting over the hump.”
He added, “I've been going crazy having to watch them on TV, The games are on early out here, so my baseball is done for the night at 7 o'clock at the latest.”
The team doctors are confident the he will be recovering soon and will be able to pitch with full flair. Recently some of the doctors told the media that after getting MRI exam on last Tuesday, he felt good and now came very close where he can think again
playing for his team.
Arizona Diamondbacks’ manager Kirk Gibson is also very hopeful for his player. He knows and understands Gibson’s game well and wants him back soon on the mound. According to Gibson’s recent statement, he is also hoping that his player will be quicker this
time.
Before going on to the DL, Daniel Hudson played handsomely and performed with his best abilities. His 2012 ERA was 6.00 along with 1-1 win loss record, 12 strike-outs and 1.61 WHIP.
He was playing exceptionally well, but the soreness in his shoulder did not allow him to play further which could have damaged him with more serious injury.
In the meanwhile, looking at his above statement, it is a healthy sign for the Diamondbacks as one of their best pitchers is getting back in shape. It will be interesting to see what impact Hudson will have once he gets back in to the action.
