Arizona Diamondbacks second baseman Aaron Hill confident to carry his form forward – MLB Update
The Arizona Diamondbacks second baseman Aaron Hill is looking confident to carry his current aggressive from forward into the next Major League Baseball season. Hill played tremendously last year and achieved consistent numbers.
He remained one of the most consistent players in the Arizona Diamondbacks roster. He finished with great numbers and went hitting at .302 along with 26 home runs, 85 RBIs and .360 OBP.
Overall his career stats are also good on .272 hitting average along with 124 home runs, 510 RBIs and .327 OBP. His seven-year career so far has also been quite consistent as he never gave any loop holes in his game.
The Arizona Diamondbacks general manager Kevin Towers is also happy for Hill and the way he performed in the last Major League outing. Along with contentment on his roster, the Diamondbacks has also recently spoken for his entire team and stated in the media
that in 2013 the Arizona Diamondbacks will be a different team.
“We've got to rely on [director of player development] Mike Bell and Ray Montgomery to supply us the players so we can compete with large-market clubs that can go out bid on free agents, You see in baseball other sports that the team that wins is not always
the one who spent the most,” said Towers recently explaining different aspects of the game.
Towers added, "And don't forget, we have the Giants, who have won the World Series two of the last three years, to compete with as well."
Towers further added, “We came into the offseason hoping we could add a shortstop we would have control over for an extended period of time."
Along with Hill, the Diamondbacks have also some utility infielders in the roster including first baseman Paul Goldschmidt and third baseman Chris Johnson.
Both are good players and possess good numbers. Paul Goldschmidt achieved .286 hitting average last season. Along with a good hitting average, he hit 20 home runs, 82 RBIs and .359 OBP. Johnson also played well and achieved consistent stats of .281 hitting
average along with 15 home runs, 76 RBIs and .326 OBP.
