Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Jonathan Albaladejo comes in to replace Daniel Hudson
The Arizona Diamondbacks have decided to bring in Jonathan Albaladejo to replace the injured Daniel Hudson who has been put on th 15-day disabled list.
However, their problems with injuries are somewhat resolving with the arrival of proper replacements.
Recently, Jonathan Albaladejo, a right hander starting pitcher has joined the team from Minor League side Triple-A Reno to replace Hudson’s spot for at-least next 15 days.
Hudson was injured with an impingement in his right shoulder.
"I'm sure we're leading the pack in that category, and that's not one you want to be leading," the Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson said for Hudson and his potential chances to play again after 15-days. "It's part of it. It's coming at us pretty consistently right now. But we'll get it under control. We'll stave it off. There's no panic."
Later Hudson said on his injury with slight details, "It's scary, especially if you've never felt it before. All the worst thoughts go through your mind."
Now Hudson’s replacement has come who possesses the career ERA of 4.10 with 55 strikeouts and 1.42 WHIP. Having four years of playing professional baseball experience, Albaladejo has played for several Major League Baseball teams in the recent past including the Washington Nationals, New York Yankees and Arizona Diamondbacks.
Albaladejo has quite interesting past experiences with the biggest baseball league in the world. He has been around in MLB for almost 10-year now, but due to some major flaws in his fast throwing and disagreements on long term contract; he could not make much out of it.
The Major League franchise, the San Francisco Giants drafted him in 2000 Major League Baseball Draft, but some issues with the long contract, he did not sign with them. However in the very next year, he again was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates as whom he chose to play as well.
A well recognise baseball player in the Minor League, Albaladejo possesses vast experience of playing in Major League farm systems. Earning his way forward in the Minor Leagues is the main reason why the Arizona Diamondbacks have recalled him to play a key role in the absence of Daniel Hudson.
