Arizona Diamondbacks thrash Texas Rangers 11-3 – MLB Recap
The Arizona Diamondbacks thrashed the Texas Rangers 11-3 in the third and final game their three match regular series encounter on Thursday, June 14 at Rangers Ballpark in 2012 Major League Baseball season.
Though the Diamondbacks won this particular game with big margin but they had already lost the series when the lost second straight game just one day ago.
Starting pitcher Daniel Hudson pitched seven innings and gave five hits, three runs and three earned runs to oust the Rangers with big lead.
"Get momentum, especially getting a lot of guys in a row out, pitching out of the windup a lot, just get in a rhythm, Mechanics are the same every single time, that's what we strive for." Hudson said with confidence on his team’s tremendous win.
"He kept it together there," Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson said with confidence. "They got the run in the first inning, and stayed in the game plan, kept them off balance, did a good job of shutting them down."
The Rangers starter Scott Feldman however, played poorly in this outing. He gave six runs and eight hits with four earned runs while could not maintain his ERA of 6.50.
The Diamondbacks entire batting lineup performed with big heart as their right fielder Justin Upton played well on his five at bats with two runs and two hits. Six-year veteran catcher Miguel Montero made three runs on his five at bats. He smashed two hits and made two RBIs.
First baseman Lyle Overbay also played a key role in the Diamondbacks’ win as he stood tall in his five at bats with two runs, three hits and three RBIs.
In the meanwhile, Texas with this defeat, is still sitting comfortable at top position in American League West Division with 37-27 win loss record along with .578 winning percentage.
The last three particular series have been proving real good for the Ranges as they established a good record of 20-15 but in the coming days, if they started their this winning run with big energy, they will surely get the post-season spot.
