The Bayern Munich winger has decided to wait further before extending his ‘much-awaited’ deal at the Allianz Arena.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arjen-Robben-c6521 has insisted that he wants to take his time before putting pen to paper on a contract extension. The Reds bosses are eager to retain Robben beyond 2013 following his impressive performances in Bayern’s last three outings
against Hoffenheim, Basel and Hertha http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Berlin-c7536.
Bayern’s sporting director, Christian Nerlinger, had previously revealed that the Dutchman is closing in on signing a new deal after successful negotiations. The winger has refuted these claims by stating that he will further assess
the situation and has admitted that there is a chance he may leave in the summer.
While talking to official FIFA website, fifa.com, the 28-year-old further added: "It cannot be said that I am 100 per cent certain I will stay with Bayern. A lot has happened in recent weeks and I didn't play for three games in
a row. Everybody saw that. It was not the best of times."
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 international commented that he would require time to consider the extension option. He mentioned that his current priority is to lead his side to a treble this season after which he will have sufficient time to
make any decision.
Robben has scored 10 goals this season for the Reds from 17 appearances, seven of which came in his last three outings. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 star has now fully recovered from his long term injury problems and could prove to be a
lethal weapon in the remaining course of the season.
"It is not as if I have to sign a new deal next week. I am just concentrating on playing football. I still have a year on my contract with Bayern so there is no rush. You never know what happens in football - it is often very strange,"
Robben concluded.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 keen on acquiring his services.
