The Bayern Munich winger has revealed that Juventus made an attempt to sign him before his contract extension at the Allianz Arena.
Bayern Munich winger, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arjen-Robben-c6521, has admitted that he was approached by the Juventus officials last month. The player told that the Serie A side wanted to recruit him for the next season but it was against his desire to leave
the German giants. Robben recently extended his stay at the club by two years which will keep him at the Allianz Arena until 2015.
The Old Lady have already been crowned this year’s Serie A champions with one match to go in the competition. Juventus bosses have also confirmed that an official meeting took place with the star winger regarding a move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926
but the Dutchman never agreed to the proposal.
Robben mused that he has never renewed his contract with any club in his career and this is only the first time where he preferred signing an extension over a new journey. He told that it is an honour for him to be considered by
one of the Italian powerhouses but he admires his current club and is pleased with the way things have gone so far at Bayern.
While talking to a local newspaper, the former Chelsea star further added: "This is the first time I have renewed my contract with a club. I have always moved on. So this says it all. I can also imagine finishing my career here.
I know that Juventus have tried to get me and that was an honour for me, but I always had it in my head to stay at Bayern."
On the other hand, the Netherlands international also denied his retirement claims which he made a few days back. The attacker insisted on retiring from professional football if Bayern were to win the UEFA Champions League and

"This was obviously a joke. I'm 28 years old, so I hopefully have a few more years to go yet. I will continue to play until my body can't handle it," Robben concluded.
The winger made 24 league appearances for Bayern this season bagging 12 goals during the process. He could not lead his side to the Bundesliga triumph but still has a chance to redeem things as Bayern play Borussia Dortmund in
the final of the German Cup on May 12 and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 in the final of the UEFA Champions League on May 19.
