Arjen Robben stresses at the importance of staying calm ahead of Villarreal clash
Bayern Munich winger, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arjen-Robben-c6521, has stressed on the importance of staying clam ahead of the club’s Champions League game against Villarreal. The winger also lamented over the weekend’s loss to Borussia Dortmund and vowed to regain winning touch in the
game against the Yellow Submarine.
Robben was talking ahead of Villarreal’s trip to Germany where both teams are set to contest the second leg of their Champions League Group A game. Bayern beat La Liga outfit in the first clash and are certain favourites to repeat the feat on Tuesday, November
22.
The Dutch winger also commented on Bayern’s shocking loss to the Black Yellows on Saturday. He reckoned that the Reds lacked intent and were pushed on the back foot early in the piece. Robben told that it was the first time this season that Bayern were put
under immense pressure by any visiting side.
He also expressed dissatisfaction at his own performance after making a comeback, having spent more than five weeks out of action. The winger opined that his selection had nothing to do with his team’s loss, but admitted lacking match-fitness on his return.
While talking to Bundesliga's official website, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 international further enthused:
“Top games like that are decided by small details. A draw would have been a fair result. I'd say it was more like three months. I did play in between times, though it wasn't good to do so. The fact that I later needed groin surgery proves that. I'm happy
with the way I played against Dortmund. I gave everything for 70 minutes and didn't have too much trouble, so I'm looking to build on that.”
When asked about the title prospects, Robben advised his teammates to stay calm and take it one game at a time. He also urged them not to worry about their loss to Dortmund as it has now gone into history books.
“That's why it's great to play in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 or Real Madrid. It's different here.” The player concluded.
