Arkansas politician shot to death?

I read on the Spanish Yahoo that today an Arkansas politician was shot to death. On Yahoo US home page the head line was ' Why do swimmers shower after they get out of the shower?'

My spanish is not perfect, but i think i understood the news properly. So where is the news of the assassination on the Yahoo US, or is that not important?

There is a lot of fluff info in the news to distract people from what they should really be worried about.

If it's not in the English version, it's likely fabricated.  All these news organizations are competing for being the first one to report on a news event. If someone of significant importance got shot, you better believe at least 10 news organizations are going to put the word out. If only one source had reported it, then it's not credible, and they probably jumped the gun without verifying their source.
