Arm hurting, what happened?

I think I held on a bit too hard, when I was doing rope climbing. Afterwards, my arm felt sore. Now it hurts when I rotate my fist, left to right. The pain is just above my elbow, my hands feels weak and if my fist was facing the ground, and I turn my fist anti-clockwise, I feel a sharp pain all along the left side of my lower arm. Whats happening?

  1. probably pulled or strained a muscle

  2. You could have pulled or sprained a muscle. Apply heat to the area and see if that helps. If the pain continues or worsens, you should see a doctor. Good luck!

  3. you could be experiencing tendonitis in your forearm extensors. They attach at that point above your elbow. If this just happened within the past 72 hours then you should actually ice it for 15 minutes at a time ...then take 20 off and continue back and forth for as long as you can....after 72 hours heat is then a good idea and getting a proffesional deep tissue massage or acupuncture should fix it right up... you could also take ibuprofen to help with inflammation... also stretching your hand all the way back and all the way down slowly while breathing nice and deep for about 20-30 seconds each direction will help losen the muscle up..
