1. I don't play baseball, but you should check out this website

you can find all sorts of different information. Nolan Ryan's guide is pretty good. If a website wants you to pay for it, it's probably not good info.

  2. you throw a suckish 50 MPH fastball but your good? Do you suck or are you good? The best way to build arm strength is to play long toss. Find a buddy and get as far apart as you can and throw until you can't anymore (it won't take too long). The pitcher's in the MLB do this all the time. I wouldn't use a weighted ball.

Also build up your legs. A pitcher is as good as his legs, so if your middle school offers cross country, do it! And if not then run on your own or at least ride your bike often. Lunges and squats are also good ways at home.

  3. I have created a website service that is adding information daily about baseball and techniques and best practices. I suggest you take a look at the articles "Pitching," "Videotaping," and "Why You Will Never Improve" as they have great information pertaining to pitching.

Personally I recommend plyometrics and other body exercises that bring good overall fitness to my clients . This will workout your entire body while making you more explosive in the process which is what you need to be a successful ballplayer. You will be quicker off the mound to field bunts, cover first, and backup throws. Also, you will have the potential to throw the ball with greater velocity. I say potential because you also need great timing and mechanics to use all that explosive training to its full potential. Flexibility is also going to be a major key as well.

For more on how to become a better pitcher and learn best practices go to the link here at http://theprospect09.googlepages.com and feel free to email me at theprospect09@gmail.com.

Good luck and hope to hear from you soon!

  4. yeah i would do long toss and make sure that you push of with your back leg when you get ready to release the ball will give you Lot more power,i learned that from a major league player that i got lessons from.

  5. I'm 14 and i used to 69 miles an hour but with in 2 month i now throw 76 miles i used tension bands i did strethes every day with them it only took me 15 minutes a day

  6. At 14 you have to remember your body is still growing and is developing. The best thing to do to build up arm stregnth is to do long toss. Every single major league player does long toss. After doing this for a few months you should have a good arm. Also you want to work out your legs and core area. The site below has alot of good drills and should be able to help you. Good Luck

  7. Do some push-ups or lift weights.
