  1. He most certainly is and should be, a leading candidate. He has been the lone bright spot on that struggling pitching staff, not to mention the team itself, besides the mid season surge of Cabrera.

    He would have more then his present 10 wins, if not for their lack of offense as well. Not to mention he has quite a respectable ERA of just 3.23, and a WHIF of 1.16, while opponents are hitting just 218 against him. Worthy stats.


  2. NBA...I would argue that RoY awards are probably ALWAYS given to Rookies, but that's just my opinion.

    He's got a decent shot, if Longoria stays out for a long time because of his broken wrist and he continues to pitch really well.  But i would bank on him finishing 2nd.

  4. I would hoenstly say no.  Rookie of the Years are rarely issued to rookies unless they have an extremely low ERA, have a bunch of wins, have a bunch of saves or seomthign to that extent.
