Armour thyroid and carnation instant breakfast??

Question

youre not supposed to take "vitamins" within five hours of taking armour thyroid meds, but can i drink a carnation instant breakfast in the morn?? it has vitamins in it??? thanks!

I'm on Armour thyroid. I don't have any problems drinking instant breakfast as long as I wait at least an hour after taking thyroid on an empty stomach. It can block the absorpsion of the meds if you eat when you take the meds.

I take Armour, and i was told nothing to eat or drink for an hour after i take it. Your stomach has to be empty to absorb the Armour. If your drinking it after an hour, i would say it would be ok. I wouldn't chace it any sooner. I hate waiting in the morning too, i need my cup of coffee when i get out of bed :-)
