Question:

Army 101st airborne?

i would like to the army when i become of age and then go through infantry AIT then go through airborne school.

then i would like to be in the 101st or 82nd airborne, wichever one sees more combat. then i would like to go to ranger school and be a ranger.

if i dont make it i would like to go back to the 101st/82nd

is this possible?

  1.  101st isnt airborne anymore, its air aussault. Highest death rate for a while.


    82nd is airborne. Watch Restrepo, theyre 82nd so is MoH Giunta. They are fast paced and see alot of action.


    If you want to go Ranger, get it in your contract when you enlist. After Airborne you go directly to RASP (not ranger school) and go through 3 weeks of h**l and you get the ranger scroll and to go to a ranger batt. When your NCO status thats when youll normally go to Ranger School thats where you get you ranger tab.


    Ranger School is a leadership class, RASP is 75th ranger regiment indoc. If you got a 300 pt score and 105 GT score on the asvab ypu can easily make it through RASP and get to be called a RANGER if you shut up and listen up.
