  1. Back in the day, our mortar squad rode in M-113s, with their gun stuffed in the backof the track. 11B is grunt, infantry. I reckon most of those are Mechanized now. Don't know if one would travel more than the other, except to Iraq, then both would probably have equal chance of going.

  2. Well the guys from my basic went to Hawaii, Alaska, Ft Bragg, Ft Polk, most of them went to FT Lewis though and a couple went to Ft. hood.

11c's are wierd in a way. We're either fobbits..where they stay in fob all day. They also do specific fire missions out in the field and don't forget they also do 11b jobs too.

  3. well im a mechanic in HQ platoon and we have about 9 11C in our platoon they they do their training in the back of a m113 mortar track and some class room trainging but in iraq they don't go outside the wire in mortar track they ride in the hummvees with the 19D scouts.....other than that the mortars i know have a simple day they really don't do much...11C are stationed at combat arms units like here at ft bliss texas or fort hood texas...they would both travel about the same being that they are both combat arms...
