  1. Army Basic Training is very hard to fail as long as you're doing everything you're supposed to be doing.  You get to look forward to a lot of exercising, a lot of yelling, a lot of getting in trouble for stuff you didn't do lol, and a lot of training.  It's only 9 weeks but it's going to feel like forever.  You need to tell your recruiter he/she is full of BS for telling you they won't touch you while you're in school.  I've seen way too many guys start school and then get pulled out and sent overseas because their unit got activated.  There are certain cases where you can't get activated like if you're in the SMP program (that's in the Guard...I'm not sure about the Reserves), but other than that there are no guarantees.  If I were you, I would find out what unit you will be drilling at and find out what their deployment rotation looks like.  But Basic Training isn't too bad.  Just don't act up and it can be fun (a little bit lol).

  2. it depends on what base your going to be going through basic training. Ft. Knox, and Ft. Benning are the hardest two basic trainings but both strictly male. Ft. Jacksonis known as the easiest but females also go there for their basic training.  Ft. Lennorwood is another easy one. Your MOS and s*x should help to decide which one your training will be at, not whether your reserves, national guard, or active

you have a week of reception, then you go to your training company where for 8 wks you will wake up at five, conduct pt. chow (breakfast) train, lunch, (train, SGT's time) , dinner, hygiene and then lights out.

for about 2-3weeks you will have ranges where you learn to fire and qualify with an M4/ M16

your last week will just be turning in equipment, family day, and your graduation

I know through personal experience and my friends in the army.

  3. A lot of hard work and physical training. DO NOT TALK BACK!!!!! Trust me it not only affects you but others as well and they will take it out on you for giving them h**l.....

  4. Probably h**l. But when you finish it will all be worth it when you realize you are protecting your country. Good Luck and shoot some Iraqi scum for me lol

  5. lots physical stuff, and gettin up early mornins...

  6. Physical training and some classes. you should have a booklet to tell you about the basic. Make sure you follow the order and do exactly you been told then you'll be good.

  7. graduation weapons training

  8. h**l! lol....a lot of hard work

  9. Graduation. Everything before that pretty much sucks. Is it hard to fail? By my standards yes. It isn't designed to keep you out. It is designed to make you capable.

Be prepared for a bit of harassment if you are going infantry. Reserves and No Goes get a hard time by RA's.

  10. It's awesome as long as your not trying to be noticed and don't talk back. Can I ask you why are you joining the reserves, I hope the reason is because you want to go overseas otherwise you were misinformed.

  11. British Army, or american?
