I have been talk with recruiters for a little over a month now because i have decided to join the army. I am looking at 2 MOS's that ive narrowed it down to (68W and 25B). If someone could tell me about the training, stress factor on the job, what it's like in the field, and just general information that's not on goarmy.com or other sites, I would greatly appreciate it.

  1. I am in a Nat Guard commo unit and we have 25Bs. They basically maintain all information systems (computers) and do network administration, lan/wan, and anything associated with it. If you like computers, go 25B. It gets you ready for all sorts of Microsoft certs...

The field is spent maintaining networks and doing help desk style support.

The PCs are contained in big green boxes for transport and protection from the elements.

    I can't answer for 68W

  2. If your interest lies in the medical field you probably couldn't make a better choice than Army and 68W.  The field and options are huge.

Can't tell you much about 25B.

  3. honestly i'm a 68w it rocks. baisc isnt as bad as anyone says i went last year its easy if you can stay away from home sickness. ait same but fort sam is the **** after a whiel they let you go out on the town its fun . when i got on the job its easier just make sure your guys are drinkin water not bein dumbass's doin a lil first aid and no one really gives ya **** or nothing like that you just chill out untill they need ya but stress can go from 0 to 100 reall quick if somethin major happens but its also your job to prevent that youll get your breif and youll know what to look out for. its fun though ill allway suggest bein a medic to people
