What can a Administrative Mos in the Army expect, when on deployments to the Middle East? How is it for them, and do they perform missions outside the wire?

  1. It's unusual but not unheard of for an Administrative MOS personnel to go outside the wire for a mission. But normally they stay in the rear with the gear. Still get issued a weapon everyone secondary MOS is 11B that's infantry for you non-military people.

  2. WHY would they need to conduct combat missions outside the wire?

  3. You make it hard for 11B to get paper work turned in.  Don't get me wrong but yal p**s me off!  Nothing makes me more pissed then a non- combat mos in my way.  I have had alot of problems with them not listening to people that live out of the wire....so for give me, also we took lots and lots of fire from them.  Right so you might not do much in Iraq and its going to be alot more boring for you, but do your job and listen to the people that have been there, and don't get in the infantry's way.  We have to much to do and little time to do it in, so go 11B if you are looking for some fun!

  4. I am a 42A , I have not yet been deployed but  have been to the field more times than I have been in the office.. in the field I am still conducting my job, there are still Promotion Boards, Awards, and other Personnel Actions that need to be done.

When the day comes for me to deploy I will do what I have been train to do.. even if I go on a convoy.
