Army MP question for prior service Marine?

I am currently a Sgt (E-5) in the Marine Corps, and have been in for 7 years. I will be coming up on my EAS within a year and was wondering if the ARMY MPs take prior service guys. Obviously I need to talk to a recruiter, but I was wondering if anyone know if its possible.

I am an infantry mortarman right now. If not possible, then what other jobs are available to someone who is almost an E-6, other than infantry. Thanks

  1. I would say yes, depending on your age and exact MOS in the Marines.

  2. My husband is an MP...A guy from his unit was prior airforce reserves and got in...So im pretty sure its possible...They might make you do WTC but i doubt it....youll have to do AIT but my husband said prior service that go to AIT dont have it as hard as the newbies....he said prior service get their own rooms and can do more when class is out.

  3. I am sure it is possible because I had a female who was prior marines join the army, the only thing i hear thta is not possible is going from army to airforce, the airforce won;t allow that, don;t ask me why.
