  1. This is one of the reasons women are not allowed in the infantry.

THAT stated, they continue to do their jobs. And you are allowed to use the bathroom as needed.............Geez

  2. No you do not get special consideration. Why the h**l would you? Bring some tampons. Better yet, get on birth control and you can alleviate the whole problem.

  3. Surprisingly, they do. It's acknowledged in field manuals and the like, but when it comes down to accommodating any needs, that really depends on your commanding officer.

  4. Okay, you're going to have to carry your stuff with you, in a ziplock bag or sometihng.

They're not going to give you any special consideration, you're just going to be expected to deal with it.

    Have fun!  :-)

  5. They know and you deal with it just like high school or the summer job.  Oh yes if it drops in the pot then the extra napkins make excellent dressings in an emergency.

  6. You need to plan for what you need to get through the cramping and the hygiene of your menstrual cycle.  Probably take some Mydol with you, and enough hygiene products to take care of the first cycle.  (Assuming you are going to basic training).

The Army in fact does care that men and women are different and you will be given a class by a female health officer or NCO about the specific ways to take care of yourself when your menstrual cycle starts.  You will still have to press on even though you may have cramps or be feeling miserable, but they will not just leave you without care or refuse you the ability to exercise proper hygiene.

  7. WTF...get some maxi pads and some baby wipes .....cramps...you'll hardly feel them under all that gear...

  8. Bring your "girl supplies" and adapt, adjust and overcome. If you're in pain, you go on Sick Call, where the doctor will give you some motrin and return you to duty.

You need to learn to "Soldier Up" and don't forget your "girl supplies." Also, as you become more physically fit you will have less problems with cramping.
