Army bases- Is fort hood (texas) a nice base??

If you had a choice, would you go there?

If that is where the Army needed me, YES. You make the best of what ever you are given.

I have lived in fort hood for two years and i would say it is okay. I really didn't like living on-post because of nosy, gossiping neighbors. it is better to live on-post because the electricity bill i first got was like $300 off-post.I made a few friends and really kept to myself. you should be okay!

You can make anywhere your home, I have heard that its a nice base.  A very busy base.
