  1. My boyfriend got promted to E2 also right b4 he left by doing the advanced pt test. Dont worry about getting the referrals...they dont even really contact them that often.

You are gonna get a few people in your bay(area where u stay) that are gonna be big douche bags. It happens. But don't be volunteering all the time. People will think you are cocky and you will turn into one of the big douche bags that everyone hates. Trust me, I hear about this lol. Yay with airborne! My boyfriend is airborne also along with his MP.

Anyways, like I said, don't go and act like a know it all or always trying to volunteer.

    Good luck

  2. Number one thing they are gonna teach your arrogant self is ARMY OF ONE. It's a team effort, you may be appointed your division leader you  have to help the slackers. The boot camp pt is going to be a breeze for you but you're going to have to learn you and your fellow soldiers are in this together.

  3. Time to downshift slappy.  Just take a deep breath and relax.  While you are in basic the only thing you need to worry about is learn what your drill sergeants are teaching you.  If they choose you to be platoon guide, thats good, but don't let that go to your head, because there will always be someone faster, stronger and more level headed than you. Leadership and respect is earned, not given.

  4. Once you go active duty your next promotion won't come until you meet the time in grade requirements. E-4 is 2 years or 1 1/2 with a waiver. Don't worry about referrals. Anything you do for a recruiter won't make it out of the recruiter's station. You will probably have the option of going to all of the high speed schools when you get to your unit. Try to relax for the next 4 days and visit family and friends. Don't worry too much about basic training. If your in pretty good shape you will do fine....

  5. The way it sounds to me I believe you could be a General in 4 Years!

Good Luck and Be All You Can Be

  6. Be the first in your group to refuse to kill innocent people - that would show leadership qualities.

  7. Are you coked out or something?
