Question:

Army jrotc question ....

My son is a freshman in high school and signed up for the Army JROTC...he doesnt start school until next Friday. But I was just wondering if the freshman do drills and such, or is it all book work the first year.

  1. Freshman year is all drills and ceremony. They learn how to march and how to carry out uniform inspection once a week. They learn map reading, current events, first aid and a lot of cool and handy things. They even go to the "range" (which is usually inside or just outside the school) and qualify with air rifles.  


  2. Yes, drills, physical fitness, military leadership, science,  & tactics, discipline, teamwork,etc...
