  1. Just get youself as fit as you can. Even if you could do 100 push ups and run 10 miles without effort they will still push you beyond whatever your limit is. There is no easy ride in basic training. They need to break you down to see what you are capable of and then turn you into what they want you to be. You have chosen a good career, good luck.

  2. Actually it depends on your age.

    Push Ups

    17-21 years old: 35 passes, 71 maxes.

    22-26 years old: 31 passes, 75 maxes.

    27-31 years old: 30 passes, 77 maxes.

    Sit Ups

    17-21 years old: 47 passes, 78 maxes.

    22-26 years old: 43 passes, 80 maxes.

    27-31 years old: 36 passes, 82 maxes.

    2 Mile Run

    17-21 years old: 16:36 passes, 13:00 maxes.

    22-26 years old: 17:30 passes, 13:00 maxes.

    27-31 years old: 17:54 passes, 13:18 maxes.

  3. The APFT is based on your age.  Go to this site it'll have all the charts by age group.

    http://usmilitary.about.com/od/army/a/af...

To graduate Basic, you need at least 50 points in each event.  After that it'll be 60 points in each.

  4. It goes by your age...you can look here for your standards.  I would strive for at least 70 points per event so in case they don't count them right you have room to make sure you will pass.
