Army!!Basic Training ?

does anyone know if you can go home while you are on basic training during the weekend? What does the basic training involve?

no you can not go home when you are in basic!you learn the basic skills what a soldier need and than you go to ait and learn what you need to know for your job in the army!by the way,you still can't go home when you are in ait!

nope not even! lol once in ur in the army they own u! didnt u know all this before u joined. im a chick and i know this. once ur done with ur basic traning then they might let u go home but just to visit.

As pointed out else where, you cannot leave basic in any way shape or form until they are done with you.  But, if you are in Basic during the Christmas holiday, AND if you haven't annoyed your drill sergant, you may "particapate" in the odd Army tradition of Exodus.....

SHH this is a closely guarded secret... you are authorized to leave on the weekends...but you have to wait until around 2230 on a Friday night..all you need to do is have your overnight bag packed be in civilian clothes, walk up to the Drill Sergeant and tell him that" you had a great week and that you will see him bright and early on Monday morning for PT" I am sure he will shake you hand, bit you a fond farewell and maybe call you a cab.  Enjoy yourself......

During Basic Training you can't leave. Family Day and Graduation Day you might be allowed a pass to leave base for a certain amount of time. After that you go to AIT, they aren't as strict but you still have to stay there unless you get a pass.

no you cannot go home for the weekend, the only time you can leave the training area is for a family emergency(your mom or dad died), or if you have a medical emergency, or its christmas time, then you take a christmas exodus, then you come back and resume training.

If you get to go home any weekends, it might be one. They try to get you in the best shape possible in the time they have. They also drills with how to move your weapon while looking in unison with the rest of the platoon. You will qualify at the shooting range. You will also do a lot of camping out (bivouac). And will test you the last week. It's not easy i'll tell you that much.

You cant go home when your in basic training. The very last week the day before graduation you will usually get a day pass for a few hours. If your parents are in town then you can hang out with them. thats it.
