Aromatherapy?

I like to collect essentials oils. Also, back in high school, I was fascinated with homeopathic medicines and the like. Does anyone know of any good links, books, etc., that break down Aromatherapy, like telling what certain smells represent or cause, things of that nature?

It'd be much appreciated.

  2. That's great that you have such a good head start with collecting essential oils! They can be expensive and having a nice stockpile is a benefit. I just found an article on the basics of aromatherapy at Lance Armstrong's Livestrong.com site that talks about aromatherapy for health. It might help you out. You might search for aromatherapy there also because they have some videos and other articles. Good luck!

  3. Start out with Wikipedia--I know it's not the best source, but neither is Yahoo Answers. By reading Wikipedia you get the rough idea. Then, scroll down and the site will give you a bunch of professional references from books, published journals, etc.

    i have many of their essential oils and they are really good. i also love their books to go with them. they have a desk reference and a mini one. they do really well at breaking everything down and it is very organized in informing you of which oil goes with which 'dis-ease'.

  6. helen mc guiness julia lawless really good authors in this area they give you all what the oil benefits both physical and emotional benefits, where they come from and their chemical make up how they are distilled etc these authors are used by VTCT for aroma thrapy courses and qualification

  7. There are many out there but the ones that I use are; by authors Worwood, Plummer, The Herbal Drugstore by White and Foster. I have several others but use these the most.
