Around 40 mph my car starts shaking??

I got a 2000 Lincoln LS every time i get to around 40 mph it starts to shake , but when i get to around 50 mph or higher it stops what should i do

a wheel alignment and rebalance to all wheels is a good starting place.

Your wheel(s) are out of balance and around 40 mph they start resonate with suspension. Go to mechanic and ask him to check balance and also shocks as it can be wearing out.

Get your wheels balanced. Also check the tracking as the balance may have been knocked out when you hit a kerb (curb).
