Around Corners likely to upset Goa Storm in Nottingham’s Caffreys Sprint Trophy - Heat 2
Goa Storm is a permanent part of the open races and holds plenty of experience under his belt. Despite the fact that victories are not coming to his way regularly, the black and white dog has been given the highest starting price for the second heat of Caffreys
Sprint Trophy, taking place at Nottingham on Monday, June 18th.
Goa Storm is undoubtedly a dangerous runner, but the punters should not overlook Around Corners, who cannot be dismissed following a spell on the sidelines. The black b***h recently grabbed three terrific victories and despite the fact that all of them were
in the lower grade, one cannot afford to ignore her winning momentum.
In her recent outing at Oxford, the dashing b***h covered 250 metres in 15.14 seconds. If she manages to maintain the standards, she will have an obvious chance of finishing on top of the table.
On the other hand, Goa Strom has been unlucky over the past few weeks. After finishing third at Nottingham, the C. Allsopp-trained could not raise his game and ended up third in a 263 metres race at Coven. Although he is well capable of getting back to the
winning ways, it requires an all out effort.
Besides the aforementioned pair, the participants are: Corleones Dondon, Goinglite Folley, Jolly Rumble and Salacres Vision. The 305 metres flat heat is scheduled to begin at 20:37 (GMT). A cash prize of £125 is reserved for the ultimate champion.
Goinglite Folley is still in flush of youth and has potential. However, things have not worked in his favour so far. In his last outing, the white and black dog finished second behind Romeo At Risk.
Jolly Rumble is looking to cause an upset, but we are reluctant to recommend him against this line-up. The black dog was third in his last trip here earlier this month.
Corleones Dondon does not seem to be in good position to do anything special. Similarly, Salacres Vision appears to be facing a difficult task.
Goa Storm and Around Corners are going to battle hard tonight. The latter gets our vote, because she is in winning rhythm these days. Good luck to all runners.
