Around Corners tipped to succeed in Stadium Bookmakers Sprint Trophy - Heat 1
Around Corners has got a great chance of claiming the Stadium Bookmakers Sprint Trophy - Heat 1 at Nottingham in England on Monday, July 30, 2012. The triumphant greyhound will be awarded a cash prize of £125.
Speed will be extremely crucial in determining the winner of the 305 metres event, which is scheduled to start at 20:22 GMT. There are some decent challengers lined up for action, thus the competition will be an interesting one amongst them.
However, this will make things difficult for the punters, who will be risking their money at the end of the day. They will have to be very careful while choosing their favourite hound, as the top three runners seem to be pretty evenly matched. The bookies
have given a starting price of 3 to 1 to Around Corners, thus she can be a good option for the bettors.
The G. Ballentine’s trainee has been around for quite some time now, as she first appeared onto the scene back in October 2009. She did a couple of solo runs that year in order to test what conditions suited her more. The next year also saw her participating
in a few trial events and her performances in them were really nice.
In July 2010, the seasoned b***h appeared in a Grade A6 event, where she was priced 6 to 1 by the bookies. This was her first ever appearance at a competitive level and she handled pressure with ease. Her speed was too good for the rest of the participants,
as she gained lead in the early stages of the race. No one was able to come anywhere closer to her and she crossed the finish line with a lead of over six lengths.
This performance encouraged Around Corners’ team to send her into a Grade A1 event, where the competition was tougher. However, she was once again up to the mark and finished third in that event.
The black b***h has improved a lot since she first appeared onto the scene and is fully capable of competing at the highest level. She has been consistently running in Grade OR events recently and her performances in them have been really good. She finished
first in her previous outing and certainly has got a chance of repeating such a show again.
