I lost bits of mine every night from 33 weeks until I went into labor.  The doctor said this was normal and it regenerates if you don't go into labor within so many hours.  When I lost it at the hospital though, there was LOTS of it...it was way different than at home.

Lots of women don't lose the mucous plug until they are in active labor.  I never noticed when I lost mine.  I assume it was during labor, but I never saw it.
