It's usually been between $1000-and $1200 anytime I've flown roundtrip from the USA to Europe.  Always book early so that you get the best deals and try checking yahoo travel or expedia.com for multiple airlines' offerings. Tickets now will cost more because its summer time.  Try travelling at off-peak times (Sept.-mid Nov., mid Jan-Mar.,) for the best prices because fewer people are flying then so they sell the tickets for less!
