i just need a rough estimate becasue he does not have a 3.0gpa so thatalso make insurance higher, and i am just woundering what the lowest and highest prices would be?

Don't worry about the kid's gpa.  It's a small discount that is not going to be a deal breaker in determing what type of car to buy.

The bottom line is to get the VIN from a similiar vehicle from the dealership and call the insurance company as request an estimate with adding the vehicle and your son on the policy.

Please note it's expensive to insure young driver because of the lack of their driving experience.  The cheapest route both ways would be to buy a cash car with liability.  Also, make sure your son is rated on the vehicle with liability

Honestly, get the kid a beater and let him just have liability til he gets older.
