  1. If you are talking about pre-WW-2 then it would have to be

    a) Ethiopia in approx 1935

    b) Spain during the Spanish Civil War (on the side of the Fascist, General Franco & the German n***s).

    c) Abysinia -- Sometime around 1935.

The Germans fought against the British in North Africa in 1940 and invaded Greece in 1941. I do not know about France.

  2. France wasn't the first. They joined in just before France gave into the Germans. The French army actually performed very well against the Italians in southern France. The Italian advance was stopped with a large number of Italian deaths compared to the French losses. Benito was trying to make a last ditch grasp of French territory before it was too late to make it to the bargaining table with Adolf.

Libya in the early 30s would technically be the first.

Albania was taken a few months before the actual war started in 1939.

  3. France. The Italians attacked through the Alps and they attacked on the Mediterranean sealine towards Nice.
