OK, so I need some examples of different kinds of food around the world. Please answer this question if you are reading it! I need foods from China (Which is easy because I can just order chinese food) but what kinds! Like Orange chicken, chicken and broccoli, and rice. Any thing else would really help me. I also need Italian, American, Mexican, Moroccan, (which I have no clue about!) and maybe French food. Please give me different kinds of food for each countrie.

  2. Traditional Mexican food does not come buried under a mound of melted cheese, sour cream, shredded lettuce and chopped tomatoes. If you decide to make this recipe, start early in the day because you need to bake a beef roast and shred it.

  3. make hummus with pita chips

  4. China: C'mon, you can do better than takeout.  There are so many different regions in China you can choose from (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_cui... ).  Try zha jiang mian--most people who don't know Chinese cuisine haven't had it, and it's a really easy, yummy comfort food recipe.  If you don't have the ingredients, try a classic Cantonese steamed fish recipe--so good and so simple.  You'll earn kudos for being healthy and classy without putting in that much effort ;)

Italian: Sounds like you haven't much time.  How about a pasta or lasagna?  If you want to up it a notch, an eggplant lasagna or gnocchi?  Or antipasto?

Moroccan: There's always Chicken/Lamb Tagine.  Takes time, though.

French: Coq au vin is pretty classic.  If you're short on time, how about salade nicoise?  Fancy name for something really simple.  Or, actually, since I notice I haven't put down any desserts, make some crepes or flan.

Recipes are cited in the sources.

  5. Try something a little more daring from the Chinese restaurant. Orange chicken and chicken with broccoli are pretty "Americanized" dishes

Even go to the restaurant and ask suggestions, and it doesn't have to be something too weird that you or many people may be afraid to eat.

Chinese restaurants have great dumplings or potstickers, or a hotpot is fun, its kind of like a fondue or big pot with veggies, and meat.

Italian could be more appetizers like brushetta or fresh cheeses and salami (pizza or pasta is really predictable)

Authentic Mexican isn't like Taco bell, with melted american cheese. Look for a recipe for carnitas or chilequeles, they're easy to make.

The Moroccan is a little trickier, you may have to search yahoo recipes for some dishes, or see if there's a Morrocan restaurant in your area.
