Arrest Warrant issued against former NBA player Javaris Crittenton in a murder charge

Former NBA player and Georgia Tech superstar Javaris Crittenton was implicated of murder charges on Friday night in connection with the shooting death of a 23-year-old mother of four in Atlanta. The local police have secured an
arrest warrant for Javaris and he is expected to be hand cuffed very soon.
The incident occurred on 19th August when the 23-year-old Javaris Crittenton fired gunshots around 10 pm at a person, he thought had robbed him. The spokesperson from the Atlanta Police department Carlos Campos stated
that Crittenton opened fire on the suspect of an April robbery case in which Georgia Tech superstar was a victim.
Julian Jones, who was not the intended target, was walking near Macon Drive home when one of the bullets knocked her down. According to the witnesses who were present at the time of incident, the gunshots came from a black Chevrolet
Tahoe. Two men who were walking alongside Julian ran away after hearing gunshots as investigators believes that one of the men was the projected target.
Jones was rushed to the hospital after being shot in the leg however the mother of four children died during the surgery.
Javaris is not taken into custody yet as he is in Los Angeles area currently. The Police officials stated that they are working with FBI in order to arrest Javaris. Last year, Crittenton was given a year of probation after he pleaded
guilty on immoral gun possession charge.
Ex-Georgia Teach player and NBA superstar Dennis Scott said on the incident.
"I'm a little at a loss for words because, knowing what he went through in Washington with the whole gun stuff, that's the first thing that comes to mind," former Georgia Tech and NBA star Dennis Scott told the AJC. "And then secondly,
if all the allegations that we're hearing are true with the retaliation that police are trying to figure out, why put yourself in a situation like that?"
Javaris Crittenton was drafted by Los Angeles Lakers during 2007 NBA Draft with 19th overall pick. After playing 22 games in the Lakers uniform, Javaris was traded to Memphis Grizzles during the 2007-2008 season. Grizzlies
shipped Crittenton to Washington Wizards in the following season before Javaris signed a contract with the Dakota Wizards of the NBA Development League.
In 113 NBA games, Crittenton averaged 5.3 points, and 1.8 assists per game. He didn’t have an impressive career in NBA and his revisit in the league is now a big question mark after he is accused in a murder case.
