Do I have a right to say "no" on the job application if i am being asked " Have you ever been arrested". A lot of people are as innocent as me and just had gotten arrested. do I still have a chance to work for law enforcement, national security and education field with saying "no" on the application?

  1. Answer yes but include an addendum to the application explaining the situation. Better to be up front and honest then say no and then have them find out you do have one, then you'll have been caught in a lie and possibly be fired later on if you get the job in the first place.

  2. John Dillinger was never arrested.

Don't lie on your job application.

  3. If you lie on the application or background personal history statement you will get no further. Answer truthfully and explain.

  4. Don't lie...you will defiantly s***w yourself if you don't tell the truth.....even if you are, "innocent".  Why would you want to lie?
