Arriva have won the new Cross Country franchise. Will they be worse than Virgin?

I thought Virgin did a pretty good job, myself. I can't see Arriva doing any better, they're just a poxy bus company.

You may be speaking from experience with this company. But like most things, you cannot speculate on this. Only time will tell and then, when and if they lose the franchise, you can then say "they were c**p and I don't want them back!"

I reckon that Arriva must be a word taken from another language which means :-c**p timekeeping,service,cleanliness,safety,p... of staff etc etc....

Yes I believe that Arriva will do worse. The actual package that we have so far seen does not leave a lot to be hopeful about. I am sure that there will be a very shaky takeover and that most of there claims in the franchise will not be supported. But time will tell.

Certainley the Customers are going to be hit hard by the Fare Increases and scrapping of many of the Cheap Advance fares availiable from Virgin.

Don't know haven't been on a train in years always travel by car much more reliable

I agree Virgin did a good job (after a shaky start). Will arriva be worse? I suspect so, especially at the beginning...
