Arsène Wenger set to wait on Cesc Fabrégas
Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger has said he will wait until Saturday morning at the latest to decide if captain Cesc Fabrégas will play against Chelsea on Sunday.

Fabrégas has been out with a hamstring injury he picked up when scoring a freak goal in the 1-1 draw at Sunderland on 18th September.

“I don’t know [about Cesc]” said Wenger speaking to Arsenal TV Online. “It looks a 50:50 but a 50:50 balancing on the negative side. I will find out on Saturday morning.”

According to reports earlier in the day, it was believed Fabrégas would be out of the crucial game at Stamford Bridge, but Wenger is maintaining hope his talisman will be fit to be involved.

Fabrégas missed Arsenal’s shock 3-2 home defeat to West Brom last weekend and their 3-1 Champions League win against Partizan Belgrade on Tuesday night.
