Arsenal
Arsenal’s young striker, Nicklas Bendtner has denied the rumours that he is forced to hang his boot. The young Danish striker has yet to feature this season as he continues to try to overcome the niggling problem which has troubled him since the World Cup.
However, the 22-year-old Denmark striker has rubbished reports he could be forced to leave football. Bendtner said "It's crazy to hear such stories, I can completely dismiss it", Bendtner also added that he has been worried during the injury spell but he has
never mentioned to hanging up his boots due to the injury. Along with that Bendtner dismissed such news by calling it a rumour. The Danish forward is looking to make a comeback in near future for the Gunners.
Aston Villa
Gary McAllister has agreed to become assistant manager to new boss of Aston Villa Gerard Houllier, while Gordon Cowans will become first team coach. Villa new manager has described former Scotland international, Gary McAllister, capped 57 times, as "my most
inspirational signing", during their time at Anfield, where McAllister played a vital role in the unique treble triumph of 2001 (Uefa Cup, FA Cup and League Cup). McAllister was also manager of Coventry City and Leeds United. Villa legend Gordon Cowans, who
was capped 10 times for England, joined Aston Villa as an apprentice when he was 15-years old and in three spells at the club made a total of 527 appearances. Cowan was one of the vital member of the Aston Villa squad which won the league in 1981 and European
Cup in 1982.The Villa legend has been coaching Villa for many years. Rafa Gonzalez, who joined the club as goalkeeping coach to the reserve in 2007-08 Season, will be goalkeeping coach of first team. Robert Duverne, who worked with Houllier at Lyon, where
they won back-to-back titles, will assist as coach/fitness coach.
Birmingham City
Birmingham City lost 3-1 to West Bromwich Albion in an away fixture. The Birmingham City coach, Alex McLeish confessed that he had to substitute midfielder Lee Bowyer to avoid the risk of him getting another yellow card. The Birmingham City midfielder Lee
Bowyer reacted after he was harshly tackled by the West Bromwich Albion defender Gonzalo Jara and retaliated with a lunge at Gabriel Tamas, which earned him a yellow card. Just a few minutes later, Alex McLeish substituted Bowyer, who was then involved in
a verbal exchange with a female fan situated behind the City dugout. Alex McLeish said: "I just didn't want to take a chance. Lee is mature but I didn't want to take a chance and get egg on my face”. He also said that he was thinking to take Alexander Hleb
off because Hleb had not played a lot of football and was looking fatigued. But then Bowyer got the booking and McLeish had to substitute him just to be on a safe side.
Blackburn Rovers
Blackburn Rovers Boss, Sam Allardyce has claimed that he would win the title every year if he was the manager of Real Madrid or Manchester United. Allardyce said: "I'm not suited to Bolton or Blackburn; I would be more suited to Manchester United or Real
Madrid. It's not where I'm suited to; it's just where I've been for most of the time”. He added that it would not be a problem for him to manage big clubs and win double or the league every time. He also claimed that it would make his job a lot easier with
big teams and he can also win Champions League, Barclays English Premier League, Spanish League, Italian League or any other domestic league in the world.
