Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City are options for FIFA 12 club specific covers
EA Sports have announced that gamers can download and print their own covers to seal their copies of FIFA 12 with their team colours.
For those gamers who always wanted to have a specific player from their club on the cover of FIFA 12, well the chance is finally here. Well, sort of, there is a bit of a catch involved.
EA Sports seem to be shouting and promoting their “FIFA 12| DOWNLOAD A CLUB COVER” campaign after a tweet on popular social networking site Twitter. On clicking the link users are taken to ea.com where they are presented with the names of 10 English Football clubs.
Upon clicking a club’s name, players are then presented with the option of PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 covers, which they can download and print.
Arsenal fans will be pleased to see the face of Jack Wilshire in the seductive Gunners away kit. Too bad they will not be seeing him on the pitch anytime soon as the talented youngster it out through long term injury, but then again, that is what FIFA is for.
Aston Villa fans get thrice the value as their cover option comes with the goal scoring machine Gabby Agbonlahor, the one man defensive wall Richard Dunne and the second part of the Villains strike force, Darren Bent.
It would be enough to make any Aston Villa fan need a change of undergarments, and we mean that for the right reasons.
Bolton Wanderers have also partnered up with EA Sports and have a cover of their own to offer with the physical Kevin Davies, the dazzling Chung-Yong Lee and Gretar Steinsson.
For all the Chelsea fans out there FIFA 12 has a Chelsea specific cover as well, with their inspirational skipper, John Terry, the goal keeper, Petr Cech and the 50-million Pound misfiring striker everyone knows as Fernando Torres.
It is not all just Premier League sides though as Derby County and Leeds United also have covers of their own, but it seems a riot is about to take place at Merseyside as Everton have their own downloadable cover but Liverpool do not.
Tim Cahill may be on the cover all by his lonesome self, but with Mikel Arteta gone to Arsenal and the fact Marouane Fellaini’s afro would hide everyone else, it seems sticking with the Australian was the only option.
Fulham and Newcastle United also have something to keep their fans happy but Manchester City seem to be growing into a global force. The Manchester City cover will add to that as the players on it alone are worth more than a fortune.
In fact, David Silva, Sergio Aguero and Nigel de Jong alone will be more than a match than the players on any other cover.
It is now up to the reader which cover he or she will decorate their copy of FIFA 12 with.
