Arsenal's http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360 edges closer to joining Manchester City – Premier League Update
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 midfielder Samir Nasri has been linked with a move out of the Emirates for nearly two months now. The French international had gone on to refuse to signing a new contract at the club and with his current contract with the team set to run out next
season, it was believed that the Gunners were going to let the player leave for a fee, instead of letting him go for free.
Nasri was initially linked with a move to Manchester United, but based on recent speculation, it now seems like the player is on the brink of joining United’s rivals, Manchester City.
It is believed that Nasri will be heading into the Etihad stadium over the course of the next forty two hours and will then work out personal terms with the team and go through a medical.
The transfer fee that City are reported to be willing to pay the Gunners for their star player is somewhere in the region of twenty five million pounds. Considering the fact that he just has one season left on his contract with the team, that fee can be
regarded as being ridiculously high and it is also an offer that will most probably never repeat itself.
Nasri was named to be a part of the PFA team of the year last season and was even short listed to win the award of PFA player of the year. His performances for Arsenal were quite spectacular and he was easily one of the best players on display for the team
last season.
Nonetheless, based on the rumours that the player is set to leave the Emirates, a number of the Gunners fans have gone on to hit out at Nasri and labelled him as selfish, greedy ad an egoistic player. These comments have managed to find their way to Nasri,
who feels a little offended by hearing them and hence those words could prove to be the push that Nasri needed to part ways with the Emirates.
Arsenal have already gone on to lose their captain, Cesc Fabregas to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 and should they also lose Nasri, then they are going to be in desperate need to bring in reinforcements to the team.
Arsene Wenger who has often been reluctant to spend money in the transfer market, seems to have admitted that this time around things are going to be different for the Gunners. Should that prove to be the case, then Arsenal might not miss the departure of
their players, as they would others to fill in for them.
