Arsenal's goalkeeper, Jens Lehmann, hints about staying for another season with the Gunners
Arsenal’s legendary goalkeeper, Jens Lehmann, has hinted that he could stay for another season at Emirates since he claims that his only game against Blackpool proved enough to encourage him to carry on wearing the gloves for yet another campaign.
Jens Lehmann hung up his gloves last season but he was forced out of retirement by Arsene Wenger to be Arsenal’s second choice goalkeeper after three of the Gunners’ goalkeepers were injured.

Jens Lehmann was absolutely fantastic against Blackpool and showed no indication of him retiring. Despite failing to earn a clean sheet at Bloomfield Road, the former Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper was one of the standout performers for Arsenal.

Lehmann said, “It was not really a comeback, but more of a last resort - actually more of a hobby. I took three weeks to get really fit - and then I had to play against Blackpool. From my performance I would be able to continue playing. My teammates are
always asking me if I'll still be here next season”.
Even if Lehmann decides to hang up his gloves by the end of the season, he will still stay at England in order to complete coaching courses.
“I can very well imagine a job in football. First, I'll probably end my trainer course. When you have such personalities as Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United and Arsene Wenger at Arsenal, this [England] is the ideal solution”.
Jens Lehmann was one of the best goalkeepers in Arsenal’s history and the former German international was also part of Gunners’ famous ‘Invincible Streak’ which almost completed the whole Barclays Premier League season unbeaten.
