Arsenal's boss Arsene Wenger has challenged his team to ‘absolutely fight like mad’ till the last moment of the ongoing season and must finish in the top four of the Barclays Premier League.
Arsene Wenger told Arsenal official channel, “We will be faithful to the attitude we have shown all season and we want to finish in the Champions League, which is not decided yet.”
Arsenal were strong favourites to win the Barclays Premier League title along with Manchester United, but the Gunners’ recent poor run-in form has put the title out of their reach and Arsene Wenger feels that his team’s poor form might even put their Champions
League qualification in jeopardy.
Arsenal’s 16-match unbeaten streak in the Barclays Premier League came to an end when the Gunners were defeated by Bolton Wanderers at Reebok. But, even before that, Arsenal only managed to get one win in last seven League matches.
Arsenal poor run-in has put them third in the Barclays Premier League and the Gunners will be only 2 points ahead of the Manchester City, if the Citizens win their game in hand. Arsene Wenger wants his team to finish as high as possible and wants Gunners
to ensure the Champions League spot.
Arsenal has been playing in the UEFA Champions League in the last fifteen consecutive seasons and Arsene Wenger feels that more flatted performances for his side might put their top four in risk.
Wenger added, “We really have to watch Manchester City, because that [third place] is not done - even to be in the top four is not done. We have absolutely to fight like mad. It is not a massive concern, but if Tottenham come back, Manchester City will drop

Arsenal will play host to League leaders Manchester United on Sunday and Arsene Wenger wants his team to give their best performance against Sir Alex Ferguson’s men.
Wenger added, “We want to finish as close as possible to the top, it would be a shame not to do that.”
A win for Arsenal over Manchester United could potentially ensure their qualification for the next years UEFA Champions League.
